The Macchiaioli were famous Italian painters of XIX century: discover the places that inspired them, becoming the location for some of the most important paintings of Italian history of art, follow the route through Rosignano Marittino, Castiglioncello with Pasquini castle, Torre di Calafuria – Livorno and its Medicean "fossi" (possibilities of boat trips, see below) and Giovanni Fattori Museum. - The towns of Volterra and San Gimignano and on the way back, Val di Cecina with the hamlets di Montescudaio, Guardistallo, Casale Marittimo e Bibbona.
